2 piece leathers

Right I have around £500 for leathers. What would you guys suggest i’d rather get a 2 piece though.

I’d go and try some on at a shop before you buy them online. Then you’ll get a feel for the comfort of them and know exactly what size you’ll need. I found different makes coming up different in fit.

Once you know what you are after then you will get better prices online.

Hein Gericke do good leathers for a good price… when I got them tailored, (which is more cause of my shape than the fit of the leathers…) the folk doing the tailoring said that they were ‘as good as leathers twice the price’…

thanks guys i’m going to go to JS Accesories next week to try stuff on then i’ll have a rumage through the net and fleabay.

If you have £500 you could get a bespoke suit from Crowtree. dont let the pictures on their website put you off as there are some truly awful customers own designs.

Im thinking about going up to see them come bonus time.

Get to crowtree’s ASAP. Firstly, they are very busy, you’ll be looking at 10 weeks absolute minimum from when you get measured (you pay a deposit though so you can pay in full come bonus time). Secondly, they are shutting up shop this year so it’s your last chance.

They really look after you, know their stuff, leathers are absolutely bombproof and fit like a glove.

If you go for the standard stuff you can choose the colours of each piece for no extra but if you want to get creative price rises quickly.

I agree with you Trigger, most people seem to go a bit mental and end up walking out looking like a Joseph. You have to say though, this fella looks pretty smart in his whistle.

You wont get a set for 500,I paid 395 for trousers only just recently. Also they have retired and only making clothing for orders they already have

Damnnnnn it…Always wanted a set of Crowtree leathers

you can get a Wolf set for about that and they’ll tailor them for you for £50. They’re made at a shop called Harpers in Southend. http://www.harpersraceshop.co.uk/

Not only are Crowtree packing up at the end of this season but also MW Leathers in East Ham.

They made great leathers but are now only finishing their contract with the Met

Seems like Hideout are the only local(ish) bespoke leather manufacturer these days.

I don’t mind cos they are my favourite anyways

Id go to your local HG they have 2 or 3 Alpinestar suits in & around your price range, with Astar I find you can’t go to far wrong, for custom leathers there is a company called BKS that seam to push out top quality kit but I have know idea at what price.
