well i treated myself to a nice new r6, but now need a can to finish it off! im looking to remove the CAT too, but belive this has a valve in?? never had a yammy, so not to clued up on them so any advise would be grand.
We have two types of slip-on’s for the R6 but they will not elim the CAT. If you want to remove the CAT then maybe consider a full system (not for road use)

You see that big metal box that the one on the right goes into, That is your catalytic converter.
You’ll need a full system to replace it
I don’t know of any R6 slip-on that elim the CAT. The Megaphone is not road legal. It and has no packing ect like a normal silencer so will it will be a little loud. The retail price for the Megaphone is £148 to your door.

Hi mate i have an Akra Megaphone on mine its loud enough people will hear you coming but not too loud that you will deafen yourself. You will pick one up 2nd hand on ebay for abut £100 not strickly road legal but no markings to highlight that and i have never had any prolems with the police and i ride on mine every day around central london.
You remove that cat though and it will be a whole different story. If you really want to get rid of it your options are a t-turner mid pipe or a new set of headers both again you will get on ebay. Headers £140+ mid-pipe £60. If you want to hear what it will sound like with and without the cat have a look on youtube. Cheers let us know what you decide upon
is the 06-09 can compatible? as i know there are only few diffrences between models.
