I’ve bought a load of bamboo and some massive pots to put it in but I don’t know what soil to pot them in because I know FA about soil so I’m asking here.
A standard slightly acidic potting soil is what you need
Her indoors says “John Innes No3”
Bamboo is pretty indestructible, and very invasive if put directly into soil. As said above, a good mix of peat free compost and grit to enable good drainage, gravel, sand etc. You can pretty much forget about it and watch it grow.
