Hi people, I have a big problem with my bike. At 9K it coughs/bogs down. Sometimes when i accelerate hard, sometimes when i ease to 9k. Its very worrying, I have googled it and there doesn’t seem to be a decent answer anywhere. Any ideas? thanks
Got the (sort of) same issue with mine, when i got it back from a full service.
Revs to 10K, then dies, drops to 8K, then rises again, gets to 10K then dies, drops to 8K then rises etc etc
Tried leaving throttle open, closing it, pinning it, slow acceleration still the same, in the garage now.
Was thinking blockage in the fuel line / fuel filter. Mine isnt lumpy when it dies so dont think its a cylender issue
Does it have a secondary throttle valve system on the throttle bodies?
Its for emissions reasons and my sv done exactly that when the motor that operates the top butterflies died.
Any fi light on the dash?

there is no fi light and I can get through the cough/barrier if i go bananas in first or second. I dont think its a dirty air filter or blockage in the fuel line because its consistantly at 9-10k. That also rules out poor sparks or bad coils. It cant be the ecu because there would be a fi warning light sequence and im sure its not a dodgy kick stand sensor or kill switch connectiion reacting to the harmonic resonance. Im thinking it must be a faulty sensor but i have no idea which one. maybe a cam positioning sensor? just wondering if anyine has experienced the same problem? and i would also like to know if they fixed it obviously:satisfied:
My mate had the same, it was side stand switch…very worrying as it’d turn off for a millisecond then wheelie as it came back in and hit the powerband!
