A little while ago, I asked how could you monitor the temperature of your tyres (for example at a track day).

Here’s a cool gadget that does tyre temperature and pressure.

RTS (Real Time Sensor) is the technologically most advanced system designed to monitor the pressure and temperature of motorbike and scooter tubeless tyres. It’s an indispensable instrument for every biker’s safety and performance.

Easy to install, it fits any and every type of bike and scooter. It’s self-powered and does not require any electrical connection.
The attractively designed instrument, clearly and readily readable, displays in real time the temperature and pressure values of both tyres and signals any eventual anomaly before it may become dangerous. The data are sent by radio in real time by the sensors inside the wheels.

The simple and intuitive use of RTS BIKE permits to adapt the driving style to the actual road conditions and to optimize the tread and fuel consumption.

Basically, you replace your two tyre dust caps with these sensors that screw on in their place.

These sensors relay data back to the display.

How can something that doesn’t actually touch the rubber of the tyres accurately measure the tyres temp!!

As much as i love a good gadget i think i will stick to good old fashioned “feel” and observation:P

Guess it uses the temperature of the air inside the tyre, so yeah will never be 100% accurate.

Pressure detector could be useful, especially in winter.

Wonder how much they cost and what the weight of the caps would be ?

Would they then need to be re-balanced because of the incremental weight ?

Similar system to the old SmartTyre.

You actually need to remove the tyres and install a monitor on the rim:

ZADI RTS

at 200 euros…it’s more expensive as well.

Great idea though…

if it slips or slides its not warm enough!!
