Hope you heal well and get a good payout, I’m sure you would get more than £1200 for any bike even before you start on the personal injury claim. Remember the valuer should be on your side to claim against the other side! Can I just point out before you all put the death knell into Hi Viz, that I read that the guy slipped off the brake pedal, so it wasn’t a question of him failing to see you!
GWS!p.s. remeber the other side (insurers) have to provide you with a courtsey bike, if you can’t ride a bike that should be a car (which would include congestion charge as well) if that is better than a cattle truck?
Be careful about courtesy items…I’ve been informed that some insurance companies see that as compensation and reduce the amount they pay out. Sorry to hear about this makman…An accident really grates, especially when it’s not your fault.
This gives more validation to allowing motorbikes to stop in those green bicycle boxes ahead of the traffic queue. Although car drivers tend to still stop right behind anyway  .
get well soon pal. I recommend a couple of stirdy night caps and a bit of puppy dog eye treatment with all family members for a few days… especially the misses
Nice bruising on the back of my legs from where I hit the topbox and a small bruise on my lower back which is a small indicator of how sore it really is… I can move my neck today! Drinking coffee is no longer a pain or mission as I can tilt my head back at last!
Bike is in storage at Amazing Bikes for the inspectors to view, so I’m definately off the road for a while. Most annoying as I cannot stand the trains and the thought of travelling on trains makes me puke. I’ve been off work the whole week now and start again on Monday. Arrghhhhh!
