Yoshi R 55 SSteel or Carbon end Exhaust

Hello,
Im looking to get either a R 55 stainless steel or carbon end exhaust for my new K8 Black Gix 750.

I have spoken to a guy in West London Suzuki, he said that the carbon ended one was not recommended as the carbon end breaks off a little.

Not seeing this and not knowing anybody who had these cans I can’t comment.

Im not sure of the technicalities of getting a full system for my bike. Obviously it would be ‘race only’ as it would also with ust the end can. Also I guess as I would be increasing my BHP my insurance would be invalid too (I guess it would be as its not a road legal can).

I know that I would need a new air filter and remapping which is pretty standard for a full system.

If I get the full system is this something that garages would be interested in fitting or is it something I would usually do myself (from the question you may see that I am not as experienced in the fitting area for this).

So it would change my BHP, what would it do to the noise? Would I still be able to do a track day? One last question, if I wanted to get a MOT after 3 years, with a slip on I could replace the end can, the CAT will be removed right and there would be nothing to add to the bike to make it a MOT pass?

Sorry for the barrage of questions but it seems getting a full system from the States is the same as buying the end can from the UK.

Thanks
Alex

My Akropovic end can is titanium and carbon and the carbon is fine after 16,000 miles. Any bike shop should be able to fit a can for you but if you wanted a full system plus power commander fitted with a custom map then you’d need to find a shop that had a dyno.

Cheers for that!
Yes carbon is the best choice I think.

So how about the MOT part? If I have a full system. How would I pass an MOT after 3 years? (new bike).

My Akro is E marked and came with a small removable baffle so I’ll pop it in for the MoT. I’ve only got an end can though, not a full system.
