Yet Another Stolen Helmet

Ok I’m pretty fortunate I’ve never had a bike stolen, but I’ve probably had the worst luck with helmets being nicked.

The first helmet was stolen off my bike in Hammersmith

But recently I’ve had two nicked from my garden (Stockwell SW9).

One helmet went missing about 3 weeks ago. Had no idea where it could of gone. I normally keep my helmet in a detached topbox that I leave in the garden.
So anyway I was highly confused how this helmet could of just went missing. Anyway I then left my newer Nitro helmet in the garden topbox and all of a sudden that has gone missing!

It seems some dick is actually climbing into my garden at night to nick my cheapy helmets.

Or even lying in wait for the bastard.

Why leave them in the garden, is there any reason you don’t take them in?

I’d have learnt my lesson the first time, you can’t leave jack schit anywhere cos someone will pinch it. :unsure:

It’s an 8ft full fenced off garden. Also because the only time I need them spare helmets it when I need the topbox attached.
Like I said, I never suspected the first one of being stolen until the next one went missing.

Attach one of these to the box/helmet I got one on a shed door and scared the crap out of myself when I forgot to disconect the lanyard

I almost lost my helmet once - thankfully the penicillin did the trick…

It was the worlds very first troll face helmet. I made it just for the drivers who dislike being passed. :crying:

Anyway I’ve decided that I’ll rig the topbox with the 12G mine so when it’s opened it goes BOOM! Of course I need to set it in a way I’ll be able to disarm when needed.

I feel a YT video comming on!

I like the trollface sticker, but not sure I’d pay 70 notes for it…

I meant the whole Nitro helmet (with intergrated sun visor) was £70.
I had the sticker made and I attached it myself (about £6)

why on earth would you not have your helmet inside? and why would you lock it to your bike? oh wait, i have just seen the helmets in question :smiley:

Yeah Matt… ha ha… don’t lock your helmet to the bike… I did some little f*cks came and sliced the strap!!! Never again!! :wink:

If your gonna attach your helmet to the bike get a cable lock and run it through the e.g.fork leg and the chinbar.

Mother Fluckers!!! I feel your pain!!

I had two nicked back in April! Took the girlfriend for lunch in Greenwich and parked the bike up next to Greenwich Market with both lids locked to it with a cable lock… Even said as I left it, “We should really take them with us, someone could cut through that cable pretty easily”!!!

AND WHAT DID THEY DO??? They cut through the cable!!!

One was a US lid… You can’t get it over here! If you see this one, let me know along with the reg of the rider and I’ll do the rest!! Grrrrr
