YAWN

This weeknd’s sporting fixtures have proved a touch anti-climactic…although…what did I ever expect from Formula 1 - Its no wonder there’s this whole crash fan mentality to F1 and car racing…its sooo boring even the commentators struggle to find ANYTHING interesting to say about except when a car crashes or drops out…whose going round and round…hmmm…yup still going round and round…OOOOH A crash oooh WOW…

And Barro, I’m realy sorry, but if we’re pinning our hopes to a World Cup wonder-player like Theo Walcott that the boss won’t even put on in the easier stages and the only way we can win is trhough a bloody OG…we’re in REAL trouble…

These are NOT the World Cup winners you are looking for…

Footie players…all mouth and money, but pretty crap when it comes to delivering…

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat ya talkin about F1 is the pinnacle of motor car racing the technonolgy them cars hold is beyond beleif, just cos you hair round your lips Toby theres no need to talk like C**T

F1 - load of old tosh - yes a tecnical wonder and extreme skill of drivers is undisputed but as a spectator sport it’s about as good as watching paint dry from a distance…
I’d rather watch QVC…
Lets face it people only watch it to see if anyone crashes hardly edge of your seat is it…

Failed to have any impact after jenson Button came off, seems he was the only one trying to overtake, then the normal procession hoping they can get past someone in the pits. YAWN

H

Any way why bitch about whats on telly on a bike forum???

get out and ride em, thats what i did, and thats what there for-- managed to get that blue tinge on my rear tyre from the heat

RIDE THE RUBBER ROAD OF FREEDOM…

Amen.

Had my first real (and scary) tank slapper on the 675 yesterday. She’s a flighty young thing. 400 miles this weekend - sorted

just over 200 for me, miles that is

but fast ones…

Dont know what you lot are warbling about, did anyone see the TT. FCUK ME!!! Amazing springs to mind, the Suzuki hitting 206MPH past a pub in a narrow lane. That is motor sport!!!

Gotta say I am with Toby on this the F1 racing, whilst undoubtedly is technically excellent, it is boring. That said do you wanna watch racing or do it ?

Sorry FlatOut, you’re right, it is a spectacular excercise in car technology…but the interest is LOOOOOONG Gone from a spectator point of view…Be honest, during the course of a race how many genuine overtaking moments are there…the start…1 or 2 rare moments, and the rest is tactics and pitlane strategy…so ALL the accusation of “Procession” is perfectly justified…the cars are too fast and the aerodynamics packages make genuine wheel to wheel racing, nigh on impossible.

Bike racing above all else. the man, the machine. THE TT … god that was awesome!

F1 - yeah, good in theory but now beyond dull to watch…sorry

Any race that where the result is decided when the racers are standing still (ie the pits) is not for me these days.

tbh

i love F1 - and this was the first time i went to a GP - and absolutely loved it - the atmosphere the fans and even the camping…

so all i have to say on the subject is

F1… POOH! nuff said!

hehe nice smilie

Yeah, it’s a petrol head’s dream no doubt, and I was amazed when I saw the cars at race speed for the first time. As a day out it would take some beating for sure.

But as a race, as a competitive spectacle ? Not sold I’m afraid.

I think the problem is that we all want to see it like it used to be. I remember loads of scraps with Senna, Prost, Mansell even Hill and Schmacher. These days it just seems to be less competitive on the track, and that’s a big shame.

F1 is utter tripe tripe tripe just a big real life scalectrix set! Once you look at the cars for 5 mins and think yeah they are good and you see them go rund the track a couple of times its dull as hell!

Your opinion only of course

ahem
