Sounds like a rectifier problem. They can go at any time/age.
Classic case of stuff just âdyingâ, and the bike cutting out. A temp charge will get you âso farâ, but wonât sort out the problem. Prob around ÂŁ100 to sort out (unless you get the part elsewhere, and a mate to fit?).
But check thatâs the problem first before buying bits. A multimeter and someone who knows what theyâre doing should be able to diagnose pretty quickly.

yeah its in Weds at a friends garage, he knows what he is doing and has correct tools. plus is sorting the fork seal etc.
He reckoned about 50notes to sort.

Update. Fitted new rectifier. Been confirmed now that the generator has also blown.
