A couple of months ago my gearbox went kaplunk. Right after having been reassured it was the diff that was at fault and having that refurbished for around 180 squid - And right after 250 squid on new tryes!)
I bought the bike (1996 Dragstar 400 - 18000kms) around a year ago. I have been trying to find a second hand gearbox but to no avail! Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas where I could find one, or even know anyone breaking a dragstar? I’ve tried the free online breakers email service but nothing has come back.
Oh and is the engine/gearbox a single unit? Or can I just replace the gearbox? If so would the 650 gearbox work for the 400?
Any ideas would be much appreciated as currently my beautiful baby is sitting outside sleeping under her cover gathering dust.:crying: A depressing site every morning when I have to potter off on the 125 - still beats the tube I guess
