Just saw this on the news… Soho is packed!

Doesn’t everyone in Switzerland literally own a gun… They have the lowest homicide rate I believe… I’m part of the small % that thinks guns ain’t the problem…
I agree that guns aren’t a problem when being handled by responsible, trained people. but the problem with America is complacency, the fact they leave them around for kids to get hold of and leave them loaded etc, the fact they can walk the street with one on there person. it’s crazy!!! personally i think the law over there should be changed, maybe not ban them completely but change the law on carrying them or something. I think it’s too deep in there culture now to do anything but something does need to change
I don’t wanna sound blunt but in a country filled with so many idiots… It’s always just a matter of time. However always a shame the innocent however daft end up being victims of whatever crime commited. I’m a little into my conspiracy theories so I guess the government don’t really believe they need self thinking independent humans in the US… Some thing must be in that water they’re drinking… here a video to lighten the mood.
I’ve actually lived in Switzerland.
Gun ownership as been reducing there, it is something like 25% now.
It is a small country so you can’t really compare it to the US.
The murder rate due to gun violence is 4-5 times per capita what it is here, but not close to the US.
Suicide rate due to firearms is very high.
Gun ownership is still higher in the US.
It’s an interesting issue. No Gun’s arn’t the whole problem - there are many things which we can use to kill people with if so inclined (not many have such a range of a gun though.) Whilst I agree that its possible for everyone to carry a gun, and for there to be no gun crime at all - it’s not realistic (since we’re all human.)
for a “laugh” check out : http://americangunfacts.com/ - the UK is far more violent country apparently (and the US is one of the safest because of guns … )
An absolutely horrific tragedy that has destroyed dozens of families, all because of one person’s hate.
Also, there’s two places I would never live. The Middle East and America. Two very messed up places.
I’m booking you a flight to Somalia right now… ![]()
I hear North Korea is nice at this time of year Jay?
Guns may not be the problem, but if this individual wasn’t able to legally buy, own and carry an assault rifle in public then the results would presumably have been a lot less dramatic,
Apparently convicted felons can’t buy guns from a gun shop but they’re still allowed to buy them second hand which makes the shop background checks seem pretty pointless
Middle east was fine till America decided to liberate every country there… Then again if you believe everything you see on TV yes… Middle East is VERY dangerous…
Nope it has been a seething pressure pot waiting to explode for more than a 100 years, the middle east has shit loads of problems. Granted the recent events in Afghanistan and Iraq haven't helped.Middle east was fine till America decided to liberate every country there… Then again if you believe everything you see on TV yes… Middle East is VERY dangerous…

I’m with Kevsta, the middle east got fucked by us after the war when it was divided up
here’s what the beautiful Eddie Izzard said about guns
“They say that ‘Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.’ Well I think the gun helps. If you just stood there and yelled BANG, I don’t think you’d kill too many people.”
