The guns laws are ridiculous - there is just no other word for it - if laws allow there to be around 25 killings by toddlers something should change… As an aside I just can’t understand the contempt they treats guns with; how hard is it to keep the safety on? or maybe not have a round chambered? - do you really think the 30s delay is a problem when the gun is on the back seat of your car in easy reach on a toddler who copies everything you do - and as probably seen you fire it? Seriously think ffs.

Being reasonable is WAY down the list of Trump priorities.
He is appealing to his core demographic who are considerably disinterested in facts, and those undecided who can be picked up along the way.

If you can have 20+ school kids slaughtered in a school and do precisely nothing in response, then I think the US are beyond hope when it comes to gun control. Very sad, predictable and sadly will be repeated again, and again, and again.
I seem to remember that after the last mass shooting, the NRA were calling for more guns as the response - the logic being that if everyone was armed then somebody could have shot the attacker.
I think they may have been watching too many Die Hard films.

I think the election is next year; so this will fade into the blur of all the mass shootings.
Giving everyone guns to prevent shootings is only gonna work if you happen to live in a country entirely populated by trained soldiers. Your average person will start cowering as soon as the gunfire starts, even if they happen to be carrying at the time.
