Itâs not nice when stuff like this happens, itâs how it might effect the kids which is of most concern. You spend your life trying to protect the little treasures and some twat with a mouth is just that. A twat with a mouth. Your home is supposed to be the safest place you can control and when some gobby fucktard starts issue mindless threats which effect that sanctuary itâs natural to feel a little rattled.
Even if itâs an idle threat itâs gonna make you nervous as itâs a direct threat at your door step so that I can totally understand.
I had a threat like that before when I was living at my parents, my Dad is a carpenter so I plugged a massive steel hole cutting drill into the plug socket and a disc saw into another plug socket and left them by the front door⌠just a squeeze of the trigger from one of those bad boy tools would make sooo much noise that whoever turned up at the door would have had a massive brown trouser moment! ;)
Getting the threat logged with the police is the good first move, plus id say if you have a video camera set it up to record your front door from inside the house so it captures the face and words of whoever might turn up⌠evidence just incase!.. plus you can point out that this conversation is being recorded.

Seriously though report it also to ebay. I had a buyer threaten myself and my business once (we have an ebay shop) and I reported it sending them copies of her emails. The next message I got was all apologetic and she left good feedback!.
Luckily most of the time its idle threats but you have done the right thing.
