If they have 2 Qualifying sessions… what’s the “Superpole” all about and how does it all work together?
The top 16 in qualifying get to go on to the Superpole Tobe:)
It just makes for a bit more telly;)
Personally I’d like to see the second race grid reversed, overtaking fest or what?;)
So two quali sessions, and the top 16 from the two sessions combined right?
Do they add the times from each session together, or is it just 2 sessions, and your fastest time from either one is “your slot”… ?
Reversed grid would just be MEGA for overtaking, and the junior teams would definitely get a bit more exposure, even if only until they’re overtaken… doesn’t BTCC do that?
Reverse Grid Action would be awesome spectating - not so sure if the top teams would buy the idea though???!!!:hehe:
take it from someone who has started back of the grid instead of front row…its not pleasant and mostly bleddy dangerous. As for overtaking much of it would be done in the first couple of corners leading to masses of crashes and injuries and i’m sure nobody wants that!! 
Unless it’s changed, it’s the best lap of either of the two sessions that count.
I’m not sure if it was BTCC but I have seen it on some form of saloon car racing. It’s easy to throw, just deliberately qualify mid table;) Nice idea though.
I remember seeing Terry Rymer at Brands in BSB on a Old Spice Ducati a few years ago. He had missed practice and started dead last on the grid. He charged through the field like a man posessed and won the race. The crowd went bonkers, That’s proper racing:D

Indeed, but I did think it was unfair if one of the top fellas had a spill he would go back to 16th place. They changed it recently so you just go back to last on that row which is better IMO:)
Yeah, though the ones who have traditionally fallen off are the top boys who are really pushing themselves, and when that happened, it always made for even better racing! Fans win!
