Hi all,
I need to replace the front forks on my old 07 ybr 125.
Over £100 on ebay for a pair and double that new.
Anyone recommendations for wreckers in London?

Get them rebuilt it not hard and there’s scorch
What about big day?
why do you need to replace them?
The coating on the fork legs is delaminating, I could rebuild them, but the seals would get scored fairly quickly.
Thanks gsxr600 Sam lol
I don’t strip 125’s sorry

Ugh bloody ybr doing my head in!
So you don’t need front forks, just the stanchions :Whistling:
searching ebay for fork stanchions I found these and only £38.00 including delivery

National Treasure, but legend is close
National Treasure indeed ha
Do you think it matters what year my bike is, you’d think they’d all be the same right?
The listing says
but wait the listing also says
Hidden away amongst the 'UK shipping details
you’ll need a pair so this may be a better deal from the same seller
but the price creeps up to £77.00 including delivery
In general, year does matter. There’s almost no such thing as standardisation in motorbikes, and only a vague whiff of consistency. That said, where it’s cheaper to not change a thing, often that thing will not be changed, and fork stanchions are a good example of that (so are disc rotors and regulator/rectifiers). Generally when a thing is listed without a particular year it’s universal (especially on a recent model or one that otherwise has only a few years’ production) it’s probably universal, but it never hurts to check with the seller.
