worst bus lane in London

as I am bored and was riding along this morning I have come to the conclusion that this has got to be the worst bus lane design.

as you go along Euston road the bus lane is open to motorcycles all the way untill you reach the 50 foot length in front of Kings X station where its is bus and taxi only and then after reverts back to open to motorcycles. Perfect for giving ticket to bikes.

Also if you want to turn left into Pancras Road to go to St pancras station the bus lane finishes about 20 feet before junction so you get loads of vehicles trying to swing left across lane and hard luck if youre on a bike in their way!

end of my ramble…so moral is be extra careful there…first about geting taken out by vehicles turning left and then getting in that short stretch where bikes arent allowed and getting a ticket

glad to be of service

FYI that section is bus only, you get a picture of your cab and a £65 fine if you drive in there. The front of Kings X is being re-modeled at the moment, so I’m hoping they are going to move the bus lane back a bit and free up the bottle neck.

Doesn’t seem to be a sign 20m before the lane starts (or whatever the rule is) doesn’t that make it unenforceable?

Unless something changed on street view the section between Pancras Rd and York Way. So after junction with traffic lights there is sigh and much earlier “End of bus line” sign.

But I may get this wrong.

just fucking burn through it mate they’ll never catch you
