So just found out the key comes out while the bike is on!!
Had a word with fortress locks in Brixton who can match a new barrel to my old key BUT from the pictures a new one is a sealed unit.
Does anyone know of this being done before?
I thought they were all sealed units these days with snap heads or rivets holding them together ?

As NumNum posted, motorcycle locks are usually held together with snap head bolts as a form of anti-tamparing. These bolts are difficult to remove without the correct tools (hammer, chisel, vice) and it is recommended that you use new snap head bolts to replace them. I would check with Fortress Locks to make sure they are able to do this.
