Worlds Smallest Can for Honda Fireblade 900!!

Check out my can…its got to be the smallest can for the fireblade??

does it do anything?

Yeh lets smoke out!

Not to mention the huge amount of flames that pops out the end!! hehehe

haha thats mad…is that remotely legal at all? :stuck_out_tongue:

I was thinking of something like:

But cant begin to imagine the hassle this would cause…

LMAO thats mental!

I wonder if it has a road legal stamp on it.

Mate, you’re gonna get in trouble! How could you butcher a fine Italian exhaust like that!

Knotty - nah I doubt it would be legal! The db level alone would be enough to kill the coppers ears!
The R1 cans are pants…my boss had one and if anyone would like it, it is somewhere on the A40 when it blew off at…erm…considerable speed!

Jay, I am not going to run with it like that all of the time, I have another can as well. And I haven’t butchered the can, its been done very neatly!! lol Nah I can reverse it at any time, only loosing about 6inchs from the original size.

Don’t let Mr Chips see this can;)

I know that can wont weigh much but the purpose of the rear mount (where the exhaust strap normally goes) is to support the weight of the end can plus the weights of the system… i hope that the headers are mounted / bolted to the bike somewhere near the sump otherwise you could find yourself with cracks appearing in the headers.

Does the swinging arm actually clear the can when the back end is compressed?:hehe:

I see you are coming around to the idea of rim tape;)

Daniel, my concern is for gazza’s safety rather than his taste in rim tape;):stuck_out_tongue:

Removed my can on my BMW, got an MOT with it off as well, thats because the cat acts like a can so it not that loud, looks much better though, Pic is not my bike but i have done the same thing, end bit from halfords £10, Not had any trouble.

ChunkyMonkey - Yes it does clear it. The can sits at the same position that it could do if the original sized can was on the bike.

The rim tape was put on there by the previous own and to be honest it looks okay. Will have to come off though when I get around to painting the wheels?

Thanks for the concern ChunkyMonkey!

Saw this thread when it was first posted - is that a real can ??

looks smart no need to spend lots of money on a akapovic

Gazza, I’m sorry mate but safety/noise concerns aside that just looks silly! :stuck_out_tongue:

It would be better if you’d gone the same route as Brixtonbikers BMW and just removed it altogether and fitted a nice tail piece, far better looking…IMHO of course.

Oi! I think it looks rather cool (well if not cool, at least different!) and it seems to be turning heads…although that could be due to the sound!

Yes it is a real can it is a Leo Vinci race can, just a little smaller!

Can we get an mp3 or video clip of that in action with sound and flames and everything?:P:D
