A friend of mine is an occupational psychologist and is doing a work life balance survey he’d (and I’d) appreciate it if any of you could fill this out (takes about 5-10 mins)
Dear Friends,
As you probably know, I’m in the middle of my Doctorate in
Occupational Psychology at the University of East London. I’m just
beginning the survey phase of my research and so I’m looking for
willing volunteers to complete an online questionnaire. This results
of this piece of work will inform subsequent qualitative projects in
2009.
I’m studying Work-Life Balance, and in particular how demographic
factors such as gender, parental status and sexual orientation can
play a part in our experience of balancing work and home demands. The
demographic questions aren’t obligatory, but it would really help me
if you would complete them.
The data will be treated securely and appropriately and only reported
at the group level. If you have any questions or concerns, please
don’t hesitate to get in touch by email. As I’m looking for a nice big
sample for this project, feel free to forward this email on to your
friends, colleagues and family members.
Thanks in advance for your time. You can access the survey here:

Finally, if you’d like to receive a summary of the results later in
2009, don’t forget to supply your email address - it’s the final
question in the survey.
Best regards,
R
