Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing the driver of blue van whose actions may have resulted in a 28-year-old city worker losing his right leg after he was thrown from his motorcycle.
On Thursday 21 August, at about 3.10pm, Kwasi Bonsu was riding his black Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on the A13 on his way home. He was leaving the A13 at the New Barn Street junction and had got into the filter lane for the exit.
At the same time a large blue panel van entered the filter lane, making it necessary for Kwasi to brake sharply, which resulted in him being thrown from his bike. The force of this threw him into a traffic sign that left him with his right leg severed and his left leg badly broken.
The driver of the blue panel van did not stop but moved back onto the main carriageway and drove along the A13. Police have tracked the van to where it left the A13 at Prince Regent lane junction.
Whilst Kwasi was still lying in the road a white van drove into the scene, it appears the van got entangled with the bike. The van stopped and two people got out, pulled the bike out from under the van and then drove without offering any help to the badly injured Kwasi.
Kwasi is still in hospital having undergone extensive surgery for his injuries.
Police need the public’s help to trace both the driver of the blue panel van and the driver and passenger of the white van. Any other witnesses who may have been on the A13 that day are asked to contact the Traffic Serious Case Work Unit at Sidcup on 020 7230 3908, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Imagine if he had died at the scene due to lack of medical aid. Is still awful though. I can’t imagine how it feels to have that happen. Or even watching it back on the cctv must he bad, it’s all caught on camera.
Poor sod i really feel for him, cant belive no one helped him…this country has too many C@NTS living in it…wheres all teh decent thoughtfull, helpfull people gone??

I cannot not believe people sometimes, the guys in the white van, unbelievable!!!, they must of looked at the poor bloke on the rd with the busted legs.
Shocking, absolutely shocking. What’s the betting that either of the van people were illegal in some way, like immigration / insurance / banned or somesuch? Why else would they behave like that? They can’t just be cnuts and that’s all, surely?
Absolute scum. Low and behold, two more van drivers living up to their reputation as the **** on the road. What a shame they can’t re-attach his leg I hope they lynch the bastards.

Thing is, the guy who actually caused the accident may not even have realised he’d done it, as he moved back over and carried on up the A13 but words fail me when it comes to the 2 tossers in the white van who moved the wreckage and left the guy there to bleed to death. :sick: Sad sign of the times i’m afraid.
