On a related note, the thing I’ve been thinking about recently is that if I could cover the brake levers (it’s a scooter: both levers are brakes) with a bit of plastic, then I’d keep a lot of cold out. I’m thinking like the sort of thing that the handles of pliers, etc are often covered in.
I’m convinced that a lot of the cold that gets to your hands comes via the levers.
Has anyone tried this? Anyone know where I could get stuff like the plastic I’m describing? (I’m guessing it would need to heat-shrink). Anyone think it would work? Anyone think it’s a stupid idea (if so, why?)?

windproof gloves are exactly that. not windchillproof gloves
