Why is there no Suzuki 125 sports rep?

It’s just occurred to me that while Honda has the CBR125 and Yamaha has the YZF-R125, there’s no Suzuki equivalent.

A GSX-R125 would make the company a mint, surely?

It would be a 4 stroke so it would still be naff…

Bring back the 2 stoke engine and stick them in a modern chassis…Now we’re rockin

They must’ve been reading my thread.

+1

+1 on the above

if i were out to buy a 125 right now, Yammy DT 125!

yea, a stroker would be fun! Don’t like the look of that though - looks like a cbr125!

Dear LORD that is an ugly construction.

If you’re going to get a sporty 125cc, can’t go much wrong with one of the new Derbi GPR125s. Nice styling, good power and it’s a 4 stroke. Good wide tyres too. Not piddly bicycle tyres no wider than my thumb.

Now the 250cc market, that’s an exploitable area. There are two sports bikes in the 250cc category, one made by Kawasaki the other by Hyosung. That’s it. What Suzuki (and all of the Big 4, minus Kawaskai, really) need to do is start to get into the below-33bhp market. Think of all the 17-to-21 year olds who take tests and then have A2 licenses…
You could probably even get a 250cc V-twin engine into a GSXR600 body and have a low-powered bike with sexy styling…
