Why are Ford Cosworth so expensive?

It’s also a nostalgia thing - these were the cars to have when rallying and touring cars were seriously cool - which they aren’t now. In comparison to today’s motors the RS Cossies aren’t actually all that any more, but when I remember being about twelve, cold and wet in Kielder Forest watching the RAC Rally (when it wasn’t just a bimble round mid-Wales) - the Repsol Escort looked the business. As did McRae’s Subaru. I feel some pictures coming on…

Colin was ‘the man’ …

Colin was indeed the man . Used to come across him now and then out on his bike . He did not hang around when he was on his bike . Very fast very smooth … do not try and keep up if you do not know the road :hehe:

I always remember a bloke who used to rock up at Rykas back in the mid 90’s with his Cossie (a grey metallica Sapphire) and give it the biggun about how he had spent £20k on the engine and that it would leave any bike standing. One Sunday afternoon he offered to take on any bike in a race. My mate Jase on his purple wheeled FZR600 offered to give him a race. 30 minutes later Jase got back but no sign of Mr Cossie. Jase said he had lost him by the Givens Grove roundabout. We never saw Mr Cossie again after that

We got a 5.0 v8 sapphire in SA. None of this 2l malarkey !
