After reading Gixxer Gooner’s recent post on the irritation of the regularly hearing about those involved in altercations on London’s roads, I thought I’d start a little poll to see just which scenarios are most popular

Will you still have this view if, whilst waiting in a queue of traffic, a vehicle reverses backwards and over you despite your incessant beeping of the bike’s horn?Or what about if a vehicle pulls into your lane without the driver checking their mirror whilst you are making an overtake?There are a myriad of accidents…It can’t ever really be that black and white.Edit: That’s my opinion 
Your first example is one of the few exceptions given that you’re stationary, although risks of that kind of trouble can be minimised with good positioning. Second one, I stand by my first post. People do sh1t at the last minute and without indicating, that’s just par for the course. If a lane change is possible I should be expecting that, if there’s a turn possible I should be expecting that, if there’s almost enough room for a U-turn I should expect someone to attempt one. The often trotted out ‘but they didn’t indicate’ excuse doesn’t cut it. My legs, my responsibility IMO. (Me, not her again. Damn!)

Where is the “idiot on a P reg CBR600 with devil’s horns stuck on his helmet pulled out from a queue of traffic as you were filtering, saw you and just kept on coming forcing you right across both of the two lanes of approaching traffic as you overtook him but fortunately nothing was coming the other way” option?
Unfortunately, it is only possible to have 15 options. I would have liked to include a lot more.
Oh, I forgot to mention the diesel spill. Good poll, I like.
I don’t know about anyone else but I pay attention to the road surface as well as all the other obs.Diesel is fairly easy to spot and there are ‘danger areas’, outside Bus Garages, HGV heavy zones, junctions and roundabouts. Little tip - looks like a rainbow and if you don’t fixate on it then go round…Riders fault option 
I support this view that we should always look out for the worse case scenario, but in many situations if we took every single case every single time, we would take as long as cars to get to work…!

I notice there isn’t one option of a biker being hit by another biker;)I was tail ended by a bloke on an old Triumph Boneville(useless brakes) as I was stationary, waiting to turn right:w00t:(edit: at quite a speed I might add)
I’ve also witnessed a guy losing his leg after being hit side on by a bike:crazy:
i had a head on with another bike on clapham long road. he overtook a bus (very badly) and target fixated on me. i was about a foot from the curb after moving over anticipating the cars that were behind the bus overtaking. luckily enough he didn’t kill me although he very nearly could’ve done. or as chunky says, remove my right leg if he hadn’t have homed in on my headlight. worst thing was my bike was dead and i was strapped in a spine board next to him in a&e. he was morphined up and was talking the most amount of rubbish i’ve ever heard. i nearly got up out my board and ended his life for him there and then. anyway, here’s a couple of pics -
it made me realise idiots aren’t confined to any particular mode of transport. and just because someone’s on a bike it doesn’t mean they’re a good rider. i’m of the belief stupid people make up the majority of the population. i blame it on civilised society myself. not enough natural selection now-a-days.
