hello, i’m looking out at the moment to buy a top box for my 05 GS 500F. i am not clued up really at all on what to go for-givi?.
i’m looking for the standard size to put a few bit’s in?, and especially to fit this bike.
any help surely appreciated,

H imate. I had a Kappa box some years ago which is a sub-brand of Givi and was very happy with it. The mounting was a little hard work - my first ever bike mod so inexperience slowed me down - but in everyday use it was the mutt’s.
Just go for a good brand, one that stands a good chance of supplying a mount for a new bike in the future.
100% waterproof seems unnecessary if you always put stuff in a bin bag, and stability (on my Fazer) was un-affected.
Go for it.

Got a Givi Flow on the back of the scoot (shopping bike)
They are always suprised how much can fit in it when I turn up at the car collection point behind Waitrose
