I’ve got gsxr 1000k1/k2 brakes and I know I should use a matching master cylinder but what others can I use, would a 19x20 radial work?
These arnt radial calipers so I’m not sure if it’ll work. My sv cylinder is just not up for the job as the pads are dragging the discs.
My experience is that almost any near suitable master cylinder will work any callipers. The only real question is how well they will work together.
If the calliper pistons are “dragging” there is something wrong in the hydraulic system. It’s most unlikely to be a mismatch of master and slave cylinders.

I put a K5 one on my GSXR 750 Y and it works fine, no issues. Cheap from ebay…and radial
So I can use a radial with my side mount calipers no issue?
Yep, no probs.
If you want a really good cheap upgrade, buy a 2nd hand master cylinder off a late R1 or R6, as they are made by Brembo.
If anything it should make it more responsive, I’ve got vfr radials on ‘99’ speed triple calipers.
