My first point of call would be a local tool hire shop. They might know of someone.
Good Luck:)
If it’s a motor problem, rather than the electrical thingies, any decent motorcycle repair mechanic.
The last one of these I took apart (some, no, many years ago) had a C50 Cub engine in it. Or maybe it’s 35 cc brother. Just needed a little TLC and ran sweetly for some years after.
If it’s the electrical bits, they’re the work of the devil and you need a small demon. I don’t go there. For that, try the local hire shop as the man said.
New 2.8KVA generators can be had on the flea market for £150 unless you want something fancy. Could be cheaper than fixing it.
Another sad reflection on the consumerised world we live in.
Had an element go in the toaster. I can buy the element for £ little but the (honest) guy wont sell it to me as he knows the toaster is spot welded together so it hits the bin in near perfect working order.
Why do I bother taking stuff to the re cycle bank?
What’s the problem with it? I only ask because I was trained to use, maintain and fiix minor faults as part of my trade training.
If it’s within my realm of knowledge, I may be able to help. If not, I may be able to put you in touch with a fellow Royal Engineer who can!
PM me with the details mate…
