You could try http://www.ukbike.com/ they advertise in The Riders Digest
As far as I know bike trader and ebay.
Riders Digest and the other freebie bike press you pick up at biker cafes etc.
Currently hunting for a fixer upper to go green laning on.
I know a couple of people who have bought from The Motorcycle Centre in Blindley Heath, near Lingfield in Surrey – it may be a bit off your patch but have a look through their online showroom as there are a few Hornet’s in there:
I bought a V-Strom from Matt at 2nd Byte which was awesome (Don’t be put off by their premises and location:

I’ve bought my last two bike on ebay and saved a packet but if your budget allows you to go to dealers then I recommend Woodford Motorcycles 020 8989 3157) and Johns of Romford (01708 726 048). You can google or yell.com them for an address.
I prefer buying private as you get a real feel for the bikes history through the owner and you can negotiate a sweet deal. I bought my FZR600r for 1400 quid on ebay and sold it for a grand, after three years and 6000 additional miles, through MCN
I got my current R1 bidding on ebay a year ago after looking for a 636B1H Ninja and realising I can get the R1 for less miles on the same plate for the same money. I even managed more money off the final bid price when I came to collect found the bike was due a full service and the left mid-fairing was marked heavily.
Its what your comfortable with to be honest. Best of luck mate
This seems to be slightly slanted towards crossers, but it has absolutely loads of sites, I’m sure you can use at least half of them
+1 for gumtree
I used the same principle on my bike as I do for cars. Dealers get part x’s in that aren’t there own brand, so they want to get rid of these. Sometimes you can find a bargin. I got my Honda from a Truimph dealer in Essex.
www.pistonheads.com some really good deals on there matey, like autotrader but free and much better selection
I found mine on www.mobile.de they have a brilliant selection!
