How did it go then?
Fun day - couple of breakdowns - glorious weather - about 50 odd riders.
btw - anyone wondering why I got quite so animated with the young kid in the yellow car - he half pulled out from a side turn…turning into my path as I was doing about 60mph - before he realised, slammed on, skidded and stopped about a foot from my front wheel. Would have been a very big one…
Hehe… I heard about that - didn’t see it though ![]()
T’was a top day - hoping to hear that Devsta got home OK though - we lost him on the way back after he missed a cornerman and carried on up the A23 :w00t:

ii thought i spotted him at 5 ways on the purley way;)
Lord! Don’t give him a choice of 5 ways - 2 was bad enough
(sorry Dev - couldn’t resist :D)
he’ll be fine he’s gotta learn the roads anyway and if he stayed on the a23 he’ll end up in streatham
if it was him, he was still on the a23 northbound towards streatham
Actually I was wondering about Saturday.
Ah… he didn’t fall off ![]()
Hehe no I didn’t fall off this time. Had a wicked day, and instruction from Rob Butt all day, which was a massive help. Just a few pointers each session, but very accurate and improved lap times probably by 45 secs a lap by the end of the day compared to the start (which was a timid start, but that was under robs suggestion, it is easier for him to teach me from a 70% effort starting point).
The GSXR was a peach… so powerful. I was not getting right to the edge of the tyres so still a little more lean to go, but was still going pretty quick. Rob was following me on a GSXR 1000 and he was lighting up the rear coming out of the chicane to keep up with the easier power delivery of the 750, best of both worlds indeed ![]()
Excellent stuff. Good them 750 thingys
