I’ve been there a couple of times of the last couple of months…
I was talking to the manager/owner/someone who seemed senior today…they have an Aprillia centre, and a Suzuki and Kwaka centre, but they’re losing money on Suzy and Kwakas, so they’re closing down that bit, and keeping the Aprillia Centre.
They said that internt sales are ruining the shops because people are ordering online, and they can’t make the profit they need to keep shops open.
The mad thing is, is no-one round these parts wants to take on the Suzy and Kwaka dealerships! All the shops are shunning them like the plague!
Whats gong on? We’re shrinking in real life community it feels like to me!
My local dealer has shrunk from being Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha to now just Yamaha because the other firms have cut the profit margins to the bone.
I had a disagreement earlier on in the year with a dealers because shop prices were dearer than online and i was being penalized for getting off my arse and visiting their shop. I did get a refund of the difference in the end though:)
What ever happened to RRP? It makes sales so much fairer:)
