seems every thread on here is about stolen bikes and it’s getting depressing :doze:
so, looking on the bright side - if the worst should happen least you get to go shopping for new wheels, or maybe your looking at a second (or 5th for some of you!!) bike.
so whats your next one going to be and why… (pics don’t go a miss either :))
it either a second hand Honda Deauville (30k per year commuter/cheap/shaft drive/comfortable ) and a BMW HP2 Sport (weekend toy/beautiful/best handling bike on the road)
or
A new R1200 RT (most comfortable bike to do 30k miles per year on/shaft drive)
Well I think my Blade is a keeper…(plus I can’t afford to spend £13k on a new litre bike), so the chances are that any bike I buy will be a replacement for the Blandit that I commute on…and probably replace it with…another Blandit…but this time one with a fairing - makes a big difference in the winter.
Been thinking a lot about this of late. Had my Bandit 1250SA for coming up to 4 years and part of me thinks it would be good to have a change.
After weeks of contemplating the alternatives, finally drew the conclusion that I would just get exactly the same type of bike again, it does everything I need in a motorcycle and way more, its very cheap to buy and run, totally reliable and they are invisible to bike thieves
Only problem is I would have to add my add-ons on - heated grips, Stebel horns, Givi racks, Scottoiler eSystem, R&G crash posts, gel seat and satnav mount. That’s a lot of hassle so I’ll probably just stick to my current steed for a few years yet, run it till it runs no more. It will probably outlive me :hehe:
I could do with a new sports bike and a new tourer.
Quite tempted to investigate the Triumph 800 XC for a tourer. Need to try out a few sports bikes … BMW S1000RR sounds tempting, an RC8, or look at perhaps Triumph will give me a discount if I buy a 675 with the 800 XC
PS - really hoping Iceland has got its brand new stock of 800 XCs as promised. Would be a great test drive!
I was sceptical about this thing… until I saw one. It’s a much better looking bike in the flesh and cruisers aren’t generally my cup of tea but I would smash this any night of the week.
