Hahah, causing a motorway pile up!
How does he ride now?
I can sort of understand these p*ss off quotes for younger riders or those with a bit of form or those that live in iffy areas for decent sports bikes.
When you are retiring age, been riding since you were 16, only had one theft claim, with a clean licence and ride an upholstered cement mixer, £3K+ quotes kind of irritate.
But it is better than being refused insurance. You have to declare that and swallow the premium loading that will result.
Just treat them as amusing. Like this thread.
Probably think you are too old to be on a bike never mind a road.
I’ve been looking at quotes recently and Compare ze Meerkats gave me the best with £120 TFPF or £220 fully comp - both with MCE. Better than the £900 renewal quotes I’ve stared at recently.
Got you all covered…
Chaucers quoted me £94,505 (monthly payments of only £9,492) to insure my R6!! :w00t: Will try to post up the email
I’m 33, 3 pts on the licence but guess I live in dodgesville!
I went for the £200 eBike policy
i checked out the price for a R1 when i first started riding 9 months ago could buy a used one for £3,000 but to insure myself on it it was just over £10,000 BEFORE IT GETS SPREAD ACROSS 12 MONTHS!!
the reason for this is it was a 990cc engine i had just turned 21 and lived in a shizzlehole known as Lewisham…
guess what i chose to do i’ll give you three guesses…
Sounds like a reasonable premium, did they ask you how you’d like to pay?
Raq let me know if hes coming on any of our rideouts…
Pound of flesh closest to the heart…per day I think!
