I had a sunday shift at a cafe being a (really rubbarsh!) waitress and then I did a stint after school on a wednesday in my local chippy scooping chips and wrapping fish.
Fishing tackle shop…2 days a week…while still in school:D and i gots paid for it!
trained and worked as a handcraft baker!!

I’ve been working there for over 2 years now, although I’ve done a fair bit of bar work aswell when I’ve got time. I work about 40 hours a week though as well as being at college, so I usually only do bar work in holidays
Worked in a dark room for a design agency. Stuff which needed to be developed was fed through a hatch along with my lunch and drinks when the heat was really on.
Had enough after working through one busy winter period, where I didn’t see daylight for three weeks. Worked seven days a week, getting there before the sun rose and leaving when it had set.

First weekend job was in my local newsagents after being promoted from paper boy. Owner used to bugger off a lot so it kept me in very cheap fags and porn mags as a teenager;)First proper job was as a Met Police officer. I’ve done it all, just can’t pick it out of the mists of time. Assembling bicycles? Moving tires between warehouses? My first job in computers was doing nightly entries into a billing system, tape-to-tape merge, if that give you an idea how long ago it was. Predecessor to an IBM PC. With a seperate tape drive.
phototypesetter operator as my first paid job, got tired being ripped off (low wage) so i joined the police

i know the feeling!! i used to develope film in a dark room during my early days of a printing apprenticship, loads of fun!
yup hate that about winter and long shifts too, it sucks!!
I was a Lifeguard on the Lincolnshire coast as my first job…well after training at a Leisure Centre in Doncaster that is
fruit and veg stall on romford market, while I was still at school. £3 a shift. Woohoo:D
