What is it about havin' a brew and bikers....

I was wandering what was the reason that bikers in general meet up at tea huts up and down the country!?!

Apart from the actual meeting…

You can stand around your bikes while having a brew…?

i prefer beer

down to history/the past i reckons.

Tea huts, roadside cafe’s etc were prob meet points for rideouts etc and people stopping off there to get a brew on way to or back from a ride, much like the lorry drivers etc.

Cafe racers etc, plenty of parking for bikes if ya do meet up too.

oakdene, busy bee, johnsons, the ace to name but a few.

ITS A CUP OF TEA NOT A BREW

Shows who makes the tea in your house, cos you have to let the tea brew mister,

They’re all good reasons, but I’ll plead the following:

England’s bloody cold for most of the year, but that’s not stopping me from going out ridign. Couple th cold with a damm good razz, and my hand’s are usually pretty solid and blue. So, I pull up somewhere to sort that out and what choices do I have:

  1. Cold can of coke…mmmm caffeine to keep me going, but the hands say no.
  2. Bacon butty…yeah, but a bit messy to wrap me frozen fingers round.
  3. Nescafe roadside coffee… if you think I’m drinking the mud off the floors of random crap factories from all over the UK just cos I’m cold you got another think coming. We poo poo’d instant tea, why do we persist in drinking that tasteless chemical muck, please explain?

or 4)

A nice hot cup of tea!

Where’s the question eh? What else would we drink?

I went to the Oakdene last Saturday, **** tea, but awesome coffee.

Am I bad?

****ing ****ing *******ing cutting out my best word ********

exactly, I’ve had the only 2 memorable near misses I’ve ever had after just 1 pint . . . booze and bikes dont mix
