what insurance

my silly question of the day, when it comes to getting insurance on a bike what would be the best to get fully comp or third party fire and theft. for a 125

i done a few quotes for fully comp and there coming up at about £600-700 at the mo.

depends how much the bike is worth, my first little 125 cost me £900 so there is no way I would have spent £600-700 on insurance. Unless of course TPFT is £500 then an extra £100 for getting all your cash back may be worth it. Its too open ended a question without more numbers x

+1

How old is the bike, what model is it?

How long do you intend on having that bike? What do you use it for?

As mentioned its too open ended for acurate advice.

Saying that, I had a Honda CG, 6 months old - kept it for 6 months on TPFT and sold it for more than I payed the Honda dealer!

fair play.

well im looking at a yzf r125 on an 08 plate it there are older plates that are cheaper i would got foor that if its in good nick but for now just say 08-09.

i plan to keep it for a year but depending how things go it could be up to year and a half.

it will be my main transportation so will be using it to get to work monday to friday about a 2-3 mile trip.other trips would just be to the other hal’fs house up in bexley (traveling from SW2)and that is just once a week on the weekends.

Also something else that will affect the cost of your insurance is your age/experiance and also were you intend to keep the bike over night. To be honest, see what the costs are and make the call taking into account the various factors including cost.
