What happens if I don't admit speeding?

I’ve just got a ticket through from the Police asking me to confess that I was riding my bike at 36 in a 30 limit on Brixton Road on a particular date at a certain time.

I have heard of people using their right to silence and ‘innocent until proven guilty’. Anybody actually ever tried this? What happened?

Ha ha, join the club I got one through yesterday from Sussex. Went through a speed camera at 39, thinking it was a 40. It was apparently a 30 - d’oh!

MCN have done a bit of work on that get out clause. I think it all boils down to asking for the piccie before declaring whether or not you were the rider at the time and if they don’t send it within 14 days they won’t take any action or summat

I’m just gonna pay, twas on Mayday towards Hastings, so I’m sure they’ll be on the ball with my ticket unfortunately

he he, looks like even Police need to pay tickets. Tell them you was on under cover mission

Cheeky beggar! It’s only coz my bike can go over 30 mph unlike your bandit!

Yeah, you right mate. That’s the reason why I haven’t got a speed ticket yet.
