What engine fits??

Hi all,I was going to upgrade my CBR Fx’s engine to a 01 F Sport one, its just a straight bolt in job no probs.

Then it occurred to me rather than put an engine in thats the same cc, I might aswell have a look to see If I could bolt something alittle bigger in, like a 900rr lump.

Has anyone done it and does anyone know what other HONDA lump will fit a CBR alu frame, mods arnt a problem as I used to be on the tools afew years ago, but it has to be a honda, I wont touch anything else.

If I cant find anything Ill stick with the FSPORT idea

Mate of mine put a 1000 EXUP in his FZ750 frame and I know they used to do 7/11 GSXRs but it doesn’t help you does it.

never heard of that type of job, its usually 7/11 gixxers or yams, I suppose if you could get hold of a 900 engine cheap enough its worth a shot
