Just watched this on the BBC, these 2 are lucky to be alive I cannot imagine what was going through their heads when they did this…
they showed this on some programme yesterday, pretty mad - would love to know the story behind it though… there has got to be more to this than meets the eye

I have just finished watching this on bbc iplayer cos i missed it last night (hubby wanted to watch ax men instead…yawn)i was so shocked to see them leg it like that…must have been drugs that made them do it,But i really feel for the trucker who hit one of them poor sod will never forget that.

Watched this last night on the beeb. The girl in red after being hit by 2 cars on 2 different carrageways, then went mad, and had to be restrained.
God knows what they were on, or what they were thinking about, I just feel sorry for the drivers.
+1 to that WASP, they looked a bit drugged up to me…plus they had no nerves or any hesitation in just running in front of the cars and lorries, one of them looked like she was watching for that lorry to come down and just missed it…Probably find they were high as kites on something. Your right about the lorry and car drivers though…madness
That police woman was useless why did she just turn around and look at the camera when she tried to leg it again, and it took 6 people to restrain her WTF they were not that big bloody joke, still if the bird was in fight mode why did the police woman not clump her with her batton, “I know I will let her try run away on the motorway”
A situation handle very badly thats what I make of it.
I saw it on TV last night too. They never really explained why the girls did it. I really felt for the lorry driver you could see the distress and shock in his face, it’s going to be a while before he recovers, if he ever does. The police make it clear they believe drugs are the reason behind the girls behavior. Has to be something along those lines. Shocking:w00t:
Youre right there, was thinking exact same thing, its like they were not prepared for that scenario, but i thought they were trained to be ready for anything? Why she even looked for that guy copper i dont know, she should have had that women BEFORE she had the chance to jump the reservation! And yeh, its not like they were built like 10 ton trucks is it?..i would have bloody tasered em or something, anything to stop them and just have them lie still…all that running away from them all…for them to have that much strength, they were on something like CPC or is that PCP? (prob TCP !!!) :P:D:P
I can’t see the video at my work desk, but the reason police don’t just get out the asp and hit people with it is because they use theat when tehy believe they are in danger or under threat. You don’t just go whacking someone with it for running away.
Also, the reason it takes a number of people to restrain one person is because drugs can have a huge affect on adrenaline and reduce feelings of pain, etc. I sure as hell know I would not like to take on a girl my size who is high as a kite.
That being said, I haven’t seen the video.
I agree to an extend but that female copper knew what the woman was about to do and I don’t think she would have caught her anyway…
And to be honest there is no way I would run out in fornt of “70mph” traffic for anyone (well with the expection of my family maybe) but defo not someone I have never met and is than mentally unstable as well
Erm…Krunchie Frog?..these women had just been caught trying to cross a motorway running into traffic !! they werent exactly just “running away” and in a normal street situation? Yes people on drugs have a huge difference in strength and also dont seem to feel or comprehend pain, therefore can take on a man of double their size and still get away from them…why do you think some take these drugs?
the policewoman actually made it clear later on why she did not use a baton, simply because the girl had already been hit by a car and the baton could well worsen any existing injuries, they used the soft approach. Sadly the drugged up girls were totally nuts. i would have tasered them myself, but there is no way I would run into a motorway to get them.
Agree i wouldnt run onto the motorway either, and agree i would have tasered them or handcuffed them…injured or not first time, she was still alive, dont ask me how she managed to stay that way…both of them…would like to know the story behind that though…
That is a good point you just dont think that after being hit by a car like that they would get up anyway, she crushed half the roof of that car and got up, non the less its a crazy situation to be in, would be nice to know how much crack they had sniffed.
In my professional opinion the female officer shouldn’t have let her get up…she had by that stage run into the motorway twice, I would have been detaining her under sec 136 Mental health act for her own safety…and the dancing around in the opposite carriageway was a bit lame to be honest…and while I can kind of see why she used the excuse about the previous injuries I think that it had more to do with the cameras being present… she might have been concerned about how it looked - although I would be more concerned about preventing potentially fatal injuries to herself and others - and if that had meant hitting her with an asp then so be it…
Having said all that, I was able to make these judgements from the comfort of my own living room sat in a nice comfy armchair whilst having a nice cup of coffee and a choccy biscuit - might have been a bit different if i had been actually by the side of, and on the live carriageway of the M6 with a couple of completely barmy swedish women with all sorts of things going off around me. It’s very easy to be an armchair critic.
Yep just watched this mate, insane! What can I say, mad Jonny Foreigners! Thing is they could have caused a huge pile-up and killed someone.
(Don’t think it would have looked good on camera taking a baton to a woman thats just been hit by a car).
