What do would you do with a broken Hornet

She’s an:

  • '05
  • Pearl white
  • Front fork and front rim slightly bent owing to head on crash
  • Broken engine case
  • Instruments/gauges and headlights broken
  • Has an after market Akra can
  • Damaged radiator, steering stem, fender
  • Dents & scratches here & there along with some rust

Obviously she’s a non starter and not feasible repairing - could have done a project on it but haven’t got the funds and space for this so best for me to get rid of it.

Is it best to scrap it as a whole and take whatever few squids I get for it or strip it for parts - problem with the latter option is most of the parts are broken and whatever is left of it may not be worth the hassle.

Cheers!

I think you have answered your own question.

how many miles and how much would you want? you might find someone on here is looking for a project.

BigD might buy it off ya

… Ear-lyyyyy in the morning!

Thanks for the replies - I will post it up on ebay later this week as it appears I should be able to get some decent £££’s for it given its potential

Best to break it

Is it registered cat b c d?

Judging by the damage I say the frame is damaged, result will be a cat b

Not sure what CAT classification of damage it falls under as its been assessed for repairs based on a verbal explanation (and photos which I cannot upload until next week or so)…

Though I doubt the frame is damaged - the collision occurred at an angle from the front right side at low speed and was more of a flick rather than full on bang in the face if you see what I mean…its the impact of the collision that caused the damage it did :crying:

see what your insurance says first

and see what cat is…

if you do decide wanting to sell let me know

cheers fella
