I read BSH, 100% Biker and DicE cos that’s what His Nibs buys. Have also taken a squint at Classic Bikes but not really relevant for my own.
Bought the first issue of Bikeress out of curiosity.
What about you?
Any comments on mags you’ve read and liked/not liked?
BSH - like that one (perhaps because I got my picture in the latest edition!)
DicE - very arty on bobs and chops, some really nice bikes and some real odd’uns. Mainly pictures, not many words.
Bikeress - not sure. As a first issue it’s going to be difficult to find something to put in but not certain there is enough in biking that is ‘female-specific’ to warrant a female biking mag.
PB - The best mag ever. Every article makes me want to go for a ride.
Bike - It’s alright, does what it says on the tin. Usually a good travelling article in there.
TWO - Going through a bit of a slump recently, but still a good read.
Motorcycle Racer - Great techy articles and good interviews with racer’s you know, and some you’ve never heard of.
RPM - Done by the same guy that used to edit Fast Bikes. Comes out a couple of times a year - pretty irregular. Loads of words and lots of good pics. Slightly obsessed with pulling mingers (wheelies) but well put together.
MCN - Good for the sport news. Take the rest with a pinch of salt and you’re alright.
Supermoto - Another bi-anual. Great mag, but only if your into sm’s obviously.
You should see the pile of old mags in the corner of my room. It’s a major engineering job if I want to look at an article from anything more than six months ago.
