What a slapper!

Just sent my steering damper off to be refurbed…glad I did after watching this!

:w00t:

Well held!

Lol…holy fack

My god that thing can accelerate. Nasty wobble at the end, but I enjoyed the rest of the video

A few things:

  1. He cant ride for toffee
  2. Thats no way to ride an R6
  3. Get your suspension set up dude, its way too stiff for an R6. Mine glided over bumps like that.

brings back orrible memories of my youth… sv650 some rider error and shite road surface and excess speed… add some oh **** a quick dance with the bars and some tarmac sky tarmac sky KERB… and then feeling like a bit of bacon in a hot pan:pinch:

thanks again kent air ambulance im in total debt to your outstanding service

Lucky escape. I find the later model R6’s way too quick steering and not too ‘user friendly’ , the rear end is often too hard. A wicked track focused bike though.

Not sure why his slapper went on for so long, perhaps help sinned and tightened his grip the worse the shake got rather than gripping the tank with his knees and loosening his grip.

To be fair most shakes like that are down to poor throttle control and a bad set up.

hit the nail on the head there

think i was too relaxed when i got spat off with mine like a rag doll,a little throttle may help to momentarily lift the front and straighten it out aswell.

I’d say it all happens so quickly you’ll have little time to accelerate/brake, you can barely hold on anyway. In the distant past when it has happened to me I’ve tended to roll off the throttle a tad but very quick to get some weight on the front and that tyre back on the deck.

Another thing is it may take a couple of pumps to get the front brakes working afterwards as the pads may get pushed back in the calipers.
