It’s exactly one year ago to the day that I took and passed my DAS at Hendon test centre. It was a damp day (kind of like today, lol) and after the test I floated straight to Rex Judds to collect my lovely silver and yellow Yamaha Thundercat. I managed to wobble home on it and find my way to my first ever LB newbie night. Upon arriving, the first person I met was the one and only Ginger. I had a great night where I didn’t stop smiling and talking to anybody that would listen :hehe: A few hours passed and then I started panicking as it was now dark and I’d never ridden in the dark before!!
Anyway…one written off Thundercat and 13,000 miles later (including a trip to france, 4 track days and a wheelie school) I can honestly say the novelty hasn’t wore off one little bit
I have to say a BIG BIG thanks to LB and all it’s members as pretty much the whole 13,000 miles has been ridden on LB rideouts or other LB events. Without LB, I doubt very much if my biking experience would be such a fantastic one.
Nice one Sherrie, keep those wheels turning…the fun never ends:).
When I look back at my first few biking years it brings back fond memories even though I started on a Yamaha FS1-E 50cc moped and used to fall off it once a week:hehe:
Without LB, I doubt very much if my biking experience would be such a fantastic one.
Oh i doubt that VERY much !! Knowing YOU? …:P…whats the matter girl? you having a “moment” there? Anyway, its just as much pleasure from this end…cos u never fail to make me laugh, u nutta !!
Good going there in one year of riding. Wish I had the commitment to do a couple of trackdays and some touring, but married with two kids kind of means I have to stay put and be “sensible”. So I make up for it with the general joy of riding in this here London.
excellent to see that the joy is undiminished and that you have taken it to a higher level!:D:D
Great knowing ya Hun, you are great to be around and your enthusiasm rubs off on those around you, i cant believe its a year, saying that mine is six months tomorrow, so thanks for nagging me and being on my case about doing my test
First? well guess it takes a nutta to know a nutta or the second nutta wouldnt learn from the first !!! (or something along those lines!!)…second, i agree with the Trisckie nagging bit…i knew she would pass her test and told her many a time…(hugs and stuff to you)…Talking of passing tests etc…u seen the new test due out in 2008? They are adding more “to dos” to it…spose its a good thing but i wouldnt want to take mine again…Anyway, heres to many more rideouts and more fun in the sun/rain/snow…
Guess I’ve known you for about a year now…And it’s been a great year (despite Noah visiting in the summer)…You’re a lovely person and a great laugh…
Having my head squeezed between your thighs at Westie’s birthday party just brought us closer together…I even offered you some cheese with your salmon…Sorry
Nice one Wolfie. Another member of the 1000+ miles a month gang, keep it up!
I’m on about 16 months and 22,000 miles. Haven’t been abroad yet (does Wales count?) but have seen more of Britain since passing my test than in 28 years on skateboard, pushbike, bus, car and train.
Met some great people and got a couple of trackdays and some advanced training under my belt, what’s next?
Wheelie school sounds good or maybe venture off-road?
