Had my Ricka fabric suit for a year. Happy with it until yesterday when in heavy rain on my way to Wembley I found that the trousers were not really that waterproof. They let in quite a lot of water through the seems around the crutch and at one point I could fwater running down the back of my calf.
Result was I had to sit with through a dreadful match with a wet bum.
Any recommendations on fabric trousers that are warm, have decent armour and do not leak?
I’m a big fan of Dainese, fabric or leathers, they’re a bit dear on the wallet, but fully worth it, the lining is great in both fabric and leathers, and is quite warm, I still haven’t got the winter lining back in the trousers, and have ridden in very wet conditions, no problem.
Have some Rev’it triousers which stayed dry for ages but have recently given up the ghost… so this morning, to combat this I wore some cheap Spada throw overs over teh top of them, then my Heine Grike jacket with an Alpinstars jacket over teh top…
Do you think I stayed dry? Did I like a f***.
The throw over trouseres were damp inside and I still had a wet patch on my tummy (albiet only a bit damp) I’ve no idea how water got through that lot but it did…
Dissapointed as my Alpinstars jacket kept me dry through day after day of heavy rain last year riding through europe…
Seems once an item leaks thats it… it wont do waterproof again.
Had a look at the website and IXS look very good. Which type do you have and where did you get them? I can only find an e-bay supplier and I would want to try them on before buying.
