Westminister suspended parking bays

Ok so I’ve been a good/stupid little commuter and paid for my year’s parking up front and what am I greeted with 5 parking bays all in close proximity of each other and all suspended - only x1 with any roadworks being carried out in them!Bell Yard x1 bay

Carey Street x3 bays

Milford Lane x1 bay

I bumped into a traffic warden who advised me to complain via the website, which I’ve done but I’m yet to receive a response, this really takes the biscuit!

Obviously all the remaining bike bays are rammed to the rafters and people are getting caught out as unless they park illegally there’s no where left to park. What the feck were they thinking allowing so many bays to be closed at once!! Grrrrr :angry:

Am I wrong in thinking that as Westminster has introduced paying for bike bays, that you are now legally allowed to park in car bays as well?

As you have already paid, would that help?

Yes you can park in car bays, but only by paying the car rate.

Ive just checked on camera this morning ,bell yard still closed (frightfully great holes where the bays are ) ditto carey st .
