I understood that there wasn’t an effective vaccination against blue tongue? Read in Farmers Week a few months ago that there had been a major break through, but it would take a while to get the drugs to market.
I think Hilary Benn made a ‘good news’ announcement about a vaccine being available, but the fact is that they have been struggling with type 8 bluetongue on the continent for years with no effective means of vaccination.

blue tongue vaccinations ordered but not ready until june…I am in the middle of blue tongue city and my land is adjacent to the Animal research, ‘foot and mouth distribution’ unit in Pirbright…so I have to be ultra careful.
And yes I am farming for the first time in my life but the farming is a hobby rather than my main form of loss, rather I mean income…
