It’s my fiances birthday at the end of the month and i was thinking about taking her away for the weekend. Got about £300 for hotels, flights/travel. I’ve looked at a few places and the best so far i think is Rome comming in at £270… Any ideas where i can find other good deals other than the normal lastminute.com lark? Or do i spend it on toys for the bike?
Hello…I took my other away for her birthday in September to Barcelona for 4 days, cost about £700 all in all with spending money, hotel and expensive diners, but she thoroughly enjoyed it. I booked it through easyjet (cheap and cheerful enough for Europe). Either do that or take her away to one of those weekend Spa places, where she can be pampered and spoilt rotten for the weekend and whilst she’s being pampered you can put your feet up by the pool and read Bike mag, I’m sure she’ll like the Spa weekend and you don’t even have to leave the country…!!!
Strongly recommend www.expedia.co.uk for a winter weekend break to Prague. If you like the cold that is. Brilliant city for a long weekend, and a short hop on the plane so you dont loose to much time in the air. Its best in winter, and will come in on budget too.

What’s wrong with England? Or Scotland? Or Snowdonia? Spend less on travel, take her through some beautiful scenery, and spend the extra on a really nice hotel.
