It’s all dependent on what the weather is doing but I might try my 1st ride into work on my bike on Friday, my route would be along the A40 and then off into Paddington so not far from Harrow at all. I usually start for 7ish and finish at 1 on Friday’s so it the perfect day to give it a go I think, hope there’s not too much filtering on my 1st try 😃 ---

I done that route for a few years, watch out for the w\*nkers changing lanes 😉 ---

yeah the filtering along there can get a bit hairy, but just stick behind a car if you feel uncomfortable.But before 7am the traffic will be lighter anyways, will still be dark tho…so be more careful…Oops just re-read the post and it could be 7pm? might be a bit crazy at that time, but you are going against the flow, but friday nights need extra care cos people are tired after work and thinking about getting home quickly for the weekend… ---

I use that route most days, mostly by bike but occasionally by car. Good thing is that the cars are used to bikes filtering through and so generally leave a clear path. The thing you need to be aware of is other bikes stacking up behind you and getting frustrated if you are slower than than them. I usually indicate and pull in behind a car and let them through - you can then coast along in their wake! Good luck and enjoy. ---

Watch out for the speed cameras on the A40, there’s quite a few at the moment. And be really careful in the roadworks, because it goes down to 20mph at one stage.If it’s dry, I’ll see you on Friday evening. Good luck. ---

Just be aware of your surroundings(i’m sure you are already!) and take extra care of car drivers changing lane after half a flash of there indicators, well that’s if they use there indicators at all ! ! !Good luck and take care 😉 ---

Well…I made it in one piece 😛 There was quite a bit of filtering to be done as someone decided to crash into a lamp post on the A40 :blink: it was raining but all in all it was a good 1st ride in 😃 ---
