I went to a couple of shops to try things on (George White and Urban Rider so far), but didn’t see anything that matched all of the above yet. That’s why I was asking for recommendations.
Urban Rider had Weise Psychos that seemed pretty good quality - I’ll try Infinity and Sondel first, but otherwise I might settle for those.
With a list of criteria like that, a 4 wheeled vehicle would be an easier recommendation!
Why not throw a pair of Berghaus membrane waterproofs over your usual motorcycle kit? The field trekking waterproofs are far superior for moisture release than anything the motorcycle manufacturers have on offer. Of course, they’re not abrasion proof, unless you get ones made of ballistic nylon.
Richa do some, although you’re better avoiding the heavy lined types. It’s just impossible to move inside them.
Thanks for the recommendations - I was actually looking for over-trousers to pull over my work clothes (as opposed to bike jeans), to avoid changing trousers when I get to work! (Sometimes I have to commute to different offices, so I wanted to avoid having to take trousers as well as shoes with me).
You’ll have to buy something that is oversized, and it doesn’t really look good. I did the same for three years, and now I have a pair of trousers that don’t fit me.
You may need to go 2 or 3 sizes up to fit over your work clothes.
I used an Aerostich suit for over-street-clothes biking wear. Good but very expensive, and not really warm enough for year-round wear so you need to buy slightly over-size to fit a fleece under it in winter.
Ride did a comparison of oversuits a couple of months back. Worth asking them for a back-copy.
I would have thought you had, but there are sooooo many products on the market that the best option really is to get into the shops and try them on. The staff in most shops are knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction better than most of us. Shopwise I would try Technomoto in Kilburn (does LB discount), Infinity and Hein Gerriche.
Most brands have very different fits so what works for a member on here won’t necessarily be any good for you.
