waterproof gear

Leather should be left at room temperature not in front of the heating.
I usually hang them in the boiler cupboard if they get wet.

Not a bad call at all - bizarrely I have a built in wardrobe in my dining room (inherited from the previous owner) and it has a plug socket in it so I could put a small dehumidifier in there and rig it up as a drying cupboard for the winter

as long as you leave a gap because the dehumidifiers do get quite hot. But yeah, works a dream!

I’m lucky enough to have a drying cupboard at work and looking at getting one for home, 4 hours and gears bone dry!

i wore the new gear now twice in heavy rain last week and so far it kept me bone dry…but i realised i need some new boots too :)lol

If you don’t have anywhere suitable to dry wet bike gear get a £99 compact dehumidifier from B&Q and park it in front of where you hang your gear overnight. Http://www.diy.com/departments/blyss-10l-dehumidifier/657239_BQ.prd
